Welcome to The Little Scallop! 
Hello, My name is Donna, the creator/artist behind The Little Scallop shop, and here is a little bit about me and my journey.
The Jersey Shore has always held a special place in my heart. I've spent my whole life vacationing at the shore, making memories, enjoying the beach, and finding that special sense of peace and happiness that only the ocean seems to bring.
After retiring, I made South Jersey my home, and with retirement came the opportunity to finally spend more time doing something I've always loved: creating art.
I've always had a love for painting and being creative, so I began looking for a way to bring that passion together with my lifelong love of the beach. That's how The Little Scallop came to life.
Each piece I create starts with a simple shell and becomes something a little more special through paint, creativity, and a lot of love. I love taking something inspired by the shore and turning it into a unique little piece of art that can bring a smile to someone's home.
I'll admit, putting my creations out into the world has made me a little nervous. Creating has always been a personal joy for me, and sharing that part of myself feels like a big step. But I've decided to take that leap and hope that my artwork brings you even a little bit of the happiness I feel when I'm making it.
The Little Scallop is about more than shell art. It's about the love of the beach, the joy of creating, cherished memories, and finding something beautiful in the simple things.
